A native of Southeast Michigan, I grew up in Southgate and went to Schafer High School. I attended Michigan State University and received a Bachelors of Arts in Marketing.
In 1983 I entered the United States Navy and retired after 20 years.
In 1989 I met my wife at a Tall Singles Club event in California. We were married in 1990, and have one son.
We returned to Michigan in 2006 and eventually settled in Saline where our son finished high school. In 2015, we moved to Superior Township where we currently reside.
I found Acrylic Pour Art purely by accident, while watching classic rock videos on YouTube and saw a video on the subject. After a week of watching videos, I gave it a try. With several paintings completed, I posted their images on Facebook. Much to my amazement, several people offered to purchase them. So here we are. I elected to sign them with my middle name Paul so it could be used for something other than when my Mom was mad at me.
My process is fairly simple. I either go out into the garage or down to the basement. Turn on some Pink Floyd, enjoy a fashionable adult beverage, mix the paint, and somehow create a painting. Then I show them to my wife, who comes up with the names and series. With that said, I would like to acknowledge some local businesses that have been very supportive and have allowed me to display my art work in their places of business. If you are in the area, please stop by and support these local businesses.
